ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST

We have an opportunity for a Bi-lingual (Spanish) Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our Huxted Tunneling and ECI Drilling International team in our Conroe, TX office. The right candidate for this position must be willing to contribute to the administrative needs of our team by performing general clerical duties including answering the phone, photocopying, emailing, filing, maintaining supplies & documents, onboarding new hires & making travel arrangements, along with other duties as assigned.

Monday – Friday 30-35 hours per week

Qualifications include:
· Must be bi-lingual in English & Spanish
· High School diploma or GED
· Specialized knowledge with Word & Excel
· Strong computer & organizational skills
· Pro-active & complete assignments timely with strong attention to detail
· 1 – 3 years office experience

Each candidate for this position will be given a pre-employment drug screening.

CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our Huxted Tunneling and ECI Drilling International team at our Conroe, Texas location. The Construction Estimator will review project plans and requirements for projects involving underground utility construction. This position requires knowledge of construction means and methods, costs, and engineering principles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
  • Determine union/non-union labor and equipment costs.
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs.
  • Obtain quotes and coordinate with material suppliers for estimates and bids.
  • Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks.
  • Understand project logistics and project schedule.
  • Develop and build estimates
  • Submit scope letters and quotes to General Contractors
  • Review estimates with the Vice President, General Manager, Operation Manager, and Project Manager, as required.
  • Review cost reports from previous projects
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree preferred in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, but not required
  • 3+ years estimating experience in underground utility construction
  • Working knowledge of soils/rock mechanics (soil & rock behavior & properties)
  • Trenchless experience such as auger bore, HDD, pipe ramming/bursting, microtunneling, tunneling is a plus
  • Knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles in various states
  • Effective presentation, oral and written skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel and HCSS is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize, well-organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and multi-task oriented
  • Some travel is required and able to occasionally work on job site
